Today we’re announcing the aircraft event, dedicated to an Indian aviation classic. In this event, you can get themed decals, a player profile icon and the very first domestically produced Indian combat aircraft — the HF-24, which was in service from 1967 until the late 80s.
From May 22nd (11:00 GMT) until June 5th (11:00 GMT), earn mission points in Air Battles, unlock stages and receive rewards!
HF-24 — An Event Vehicle Jet Fighter for Great Britain at Rank V
The HAL HF-24 Marut (Hindu for “Spirit of the Tempest”), designed by German aircraft engineer Kurt Tank, was India’s first domestically produced combat aircraft. This jet fighter can accelerate to almost the speed of sound, is armed with four 30 mm ADEN cannons and can carry up to 4,000 lb of bombs and rockets.
Among the rewards in the event is also this chest. When opened, there is a chance to receive one of the following items:
- 50,000 to 100,000 Silver Lions
- SL and RP Boosters
- Random wagers and orders
- Universal backups (1-3)
- Random camouflage for purchased vehicles of any type
- 1 day of premium account
How to get all rewards
Each stage is unlocked for 35,000 mission points and brings a new reward.
Please note: Once the stage is unlocked, you will need to claim your reward manually. To do this, click on your profile, select the Spirit of the Tempest category, and click Claim Prize.
You’re able to earn mission points in Air Battles at Rank III or above in Arcade, Realistic and Simulator Battles. The number of mission points to complete a stage depends on the game mode and the maximum Rank of the vehicle that you use in battle. There’s a multiplier for earning mission points, which is shown in the task description in-game.
You can also earn mission points by using event vehicles that are Rank I and II. Event vehicles that can be used have the name of the event that they were obtainable in on their stat card.
Stages change every two days at 11:00 GMT: May 24th, 26th, 28th, 30th, June 1st and 3rd.
Rewards are given when you complete a specific number of stages
- For 1 stage: trophy with random reward
- For 2 stages: one of the decal rewards
- For 3 stages: trophy with random reward
- For 4 stages: one of the decal rewards
- For 5 stages: trophy with random reward
- For 6 stages: “Indian Pilot” profile icon
- For 7 stages: a non-tradable coupon for the HF-24
Discounts on purchasing stages using Golden Eagles
Incomplete stages can be purchased for Golden Eagles, but if you’re significantly close to completing a stage, its price will now be significantly reduced.
Let’s say you have earned 85% of the required mission points to complete a stage, then the price of purchasing this stage will be halved. If you’re near the finish line for a stage and are at 95% progress, then the price will be reduced by five times. For example, if you’ve earned 30,000 mission points, then the price for unlocking this stage will be 499 Golden Eagles. If you’ve earned 33,500 mission points, then you’ll only need to pay 199 Golden Eagles. Remember to keep this in mind if you cannot complete a stage on time!
The Upgrade for a coupon
When you complete 7 stages, you’ll receive a non-tradable coupon for the HF-24 where using it will immediately activate the vehicle onto your account. If you don’t want the vehicle and would like to sell the coupon on the Market, you’ll need the “Upgrade for coupon” item.
The “Upgrade for coupon” item can be earned in parallel with the stages throughout the event from May 22nd (11:00 GMT ) until June 5th (11:00 GMT) for 600,000 mission points.
After receiving the “Upgrade for coupon” item, you can convert a non-tradable coupon for the vehicle into a tradable one and sell it on the Market. The tradable coupon can be sold after 5 days from the moment it’s created.
The “Upgrade for coupon” item is valid until June 8th (11:00 GMT). Until this time, you can use it or exchange it for War Bonds. Afterwards, it’ll disappear from your inventory.
To make a tradable coupon, select the “Coupon HF-24 (Great Britain)” in your inventory and click the “Modify” button.
You can track the progress of completing stages and receiving the “Upgrade for coupon” by clicking on your Nickname > Achievements > Spirit of the Tempest. If you don’t manage to complete a stage on time or would like to purchase a stage, until June 9th from the Achievements window, you can purchase each stage with Golden Eagles which will give you the corresponding rewards.

Comments will be premoderated"Gaijing stop adding copy and paste!" Also when gaijing adds a unique aircraft: I'm just happy to get a free jet lmao, it'll help me with my Brotish grind. Thank you snail lord
Is it an afterburning jet or no?
i'm 90% sure its not, but i dont have a reliable source
No afterburner. It has two engines similar to the one from the Fiat G.91R.
Sick plane, but it sucks so much that the tradable coupons take SO MANY points 500k seems like a lot already and then other vehicles take up to 700k and this one 600k 500k should be the max for rank 7 and 8 events and anything bellow should be 400k at most
wow an indian vehicle, love to see it thank you guys!
AWESOME!! I got very good reason to install WT and grind this event. As Indian I was waiting for this plane in game . Thanks Gaijin better late than never
In the prior "Sword of Justice" event, some people were criticizing the Jaguar IS for being a "copy-paste" as we already have several other Jaguar variants in the game. Now we're getting a plane of entirely original design and independent development, and there are still comments on how it just "isn't unique" enough. Curious. In any case, I'm quite glad to see the Marut finally represented in game, I imagine it'll have strike gameplay similar to the Swiss P-16 with its similar armament layout.
I don’t get the negativity. This is a unique design created by NovA29, one of our community creators. Yes it is subsonic but it has good cannons, a decent amount of droppable ordnance, relatively low unlock costs, and isn’t a copy-paste by any stretch of the imagination. Come on people!!!
amazing, im always sucker for indigenous designs! been waiting for this one for a long time.
Now we need the Folland Gnat
Regardless of this somehow not being unique to others, when it clearly is. I'm very glad we're getting a unique native vehicle.
